Svetlana Goretaya LICSW

Svetlana enjoys providing therapy to women with ADHD and/or high sensitivity (HSP trait). She specializes in working with ADHD and/or HSP women that may struggle with depression, anxiety, and self-esteem.  She also enjoys therapeutic work with creative people such as artists, musicians, academics and entrepreneurs. 

Svetlana’s approach incorporates education on mental health, humor, empathy and mindfulness. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence based treatment that aids in loosening the hold of traumatic memories and beliefs. 

Svetlana immigrated to the U.S. as a young child. She appreciates the role immigration plays in individual and family development and enjoys therapy with young people who are first and second generation immigrants or children of immigrants.

She also has an interest in working with people who are recovering from difficult experiences with religion.
