Maria Terrero-Kamara LICSW

I am a bilingual clinician (Spanish). I have been working with children, youth, and families for over 20 years. I obtained my BSW and MSW from Rhode Island College. Engaging in therapy is a process itself, however having the clinician as a partner for guidance, consultation and support makes the therapeutic process easier to navigate.

I am a strong believer in hope, resiliency and commitment which are all elements that I incorporate when working with individuals that are facing difficulties in life. I use a strength base approach along with motivational interviewing and set realistic therapeutic goals.

I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, traumatic events, and post-traumatic stress disorder, including work with War time veterans and their families.
